Crossway has released their ‘most affordable Bible yet‘ – brilliant! I love when the Word of God can be made available at the lowest possible price. If you buy enough, they are a buck each (yes, $1).
On the topic of Crossway and the ESV, one of the key reasons I use it as my main translation (apart from the fact it is one of the most recent ‘word for word’ translations), is that Crossway tries to make their work as available as possible. For example there is a free iPad/iPhone app, you can download it through youversion, the full version is also available online through their own web application. They are a non profit organization – obviously commited to spreading Gods Word. I am not in any way affiliated with Crossway (I’ve never spoken to anyone there) – this is purely from what I can see, and I think we should go out of the way to honor those that honor the Word!
Tim Challies has a great post on the ‘Anti-Psalm‘. It is a teaching on Psalm 131 done by reversing the meanings. Take a look, but here is a quick quote -
Self,
My heart is proud
and my eyes are haughty
and I chase after things too great and too difficult for me.
Enjoy!
