A small selection of helpful or interesting articles my reading from the past few days!

Why Facebook (and your church) might be making you sad! A great post from Russell D. Moore. A quick quote from the post -

We’ve been warned that social media can distract us, shorten our attention spans, disconnect us from real-life relationships. Now a new study suggests that Facebook might also be making us miserable. I suspect there’s something to this, and it’s not just about Facebook. It’s about our churches.

Spiritual Muscle Development – from Paul Tripp. If you are in a period of your life where you are ‘waiting on God’, this might well be a good article – I certainly found it helpful. A quick quote -

When God asks you to wait, what happens to your spiritual muscles? While you wait, do your spiritual muscles grow bigger and stronger or do they grow flaccid and atrophied? Waiting for the Lord isn’t about God forgetting you, forsaking you, or being unfaithful to his promises. It’s actually God giving you time to consider his glory and to grow stronger in faith. Remember, waiting isn’t just about what you are hoping for at the end of the wait, but also about what you will become as you wait.

And finally, a quote from Blog and Mablog -

“There is no situation so bad that we, through a bad attitude, cannot make . . . worse” (Beyond Stateliest Marble, p. 179).

Enjoy!
